Shredding Event Checklist
With the spring weather finally starting to break in Buffalo NY, Lincoln Archives looks forward to assisting many community organizations with Community Shredding Events. As a local organization, we especially look forward to these events as a way to provide information protection services to more of our fellow community members.
Hosting a Shredding Event, just like hosting any event, requires some initial planning. Below are some things we recommend to be on your Shredding Event Checklist.
Fundraiser or Community Support:
One of the first aspects to think about when organizing a Shredding event is whether the intent is to raise funds for your organization/important cause or if the service will be offered free to the public. Lincoln Archives is proud to partner with you for either option and especially proud to assist with the notion of raising funds to benefit a cause connected to our fellow community.
We want to ensure your event is as successful as possible. One of the ways to ensure this occurs is to promote the event. We encourage you to share on social media, create flyers, include in Church bulletins, invite neighbors; any marketing you think is best for your organization. The Lincoln Archives marketing team will be happy to work with you to provide flyers and social media content to share your event. (#LincolnArchivesShreddingEvent)
Day of Details:
Where are trucks going to be parked? What will be the flow of traffic? Is there going to be a cook-out too? These details, amongst others, are some of the questions that have to be answered to ensure a successful event. Our Operations team will complete a walkthrough with your team to find the best spot for our trucks to park as well as understand what the best flow of traffic will be. We also recommend coordinating if volunteers will be available to collect funds if needed.
Post Event Follow Up
Did you have more attendees than expected? Was there anything you would have done differently? We work with you even after the event is over to make next year’s event even stronger! As a provider of Shredding Event for many organizations for several years in a row, we truly want to be your partner in information protection rather than just the company providing the On-Site Document Shredding trucks.
