With the large percentage of Data Breaches occurring due to leveraging weak or stolen passwords, privacy concerns are not only increased for the individuals who set those passwords, but also are on the industry as an entirety.
Through the video John McAfee The Worst is yet to come for US banks, Cryptos will soar, expect Bitcoin to hit 500,000, anti-virus software pioneer, John McAfee, elaborates on these privacy concerns and discusses current thoughts and predictions for Data Protection/Cyber Security industry.
Below McAfee discusses insight on viruses, human involvement, and recognizing if hackers are truly for good or for evil:
- Viruses are not the problem:
Focus on identifying the hacker rather than the malware itself because once the malware is detected every device on network has already been sniffed through.
- Accounting for the human element: McAfee predicts technology of the future will be an element that looks out for the human error and have elements in place to recognize abnormalities currently only able to be recognized by humans.
- Partnering with Hackers:
McAfee suggests the thinking that all hacking is bad should be revaluated as working alongside your enemy-the hacker, can be more beneficial than working against each other. McAfee also mentions you can create good computer scientists, but “hackers” live and die for the process and that’s exactly who you want on your team.
